As a European Social Fund financed project, the London Training and Employment Network (LTEN) is the latest Green Mark client to benefit from free support to reduce its carbon footprint.
Green Mark offers free guidance to ESF funded clients as part of its ESF Technical Assistance Project.
LTEN is a membership based, capacity building organisation. It draws its membership from all key sectors with the majority of its members coming from community and voluntary organisations. Their work is funded by European Social Fund, Jobcentre Plus and London Councils.
This is the second time LTEN have achieved Green Mark certification. Their green agenda continues to be an important part of their daily operations and includes compliance with a Duty of Care policy. Staff are also given an introduction to LTEN’s green practices, as part of an environmental induction.
‘Taking LTEN through the Green Mark certification has helped us focus on becoming more efficient and environmentally aware: this means less waste and less costs to the organisation and the opportunity to share good practice with our members and associates.’ says Marina D’Arco, Information Officer at LTEN.
